I simply miss my family and home. The past few days I have been homesick. I was not expecting to miss my family and my home as much as I am. Not many people know what it’s like to be a part of a large family. They are used to being alone. This has been a new experience for me, even though I like having alone time every now and then. It is good to search your heart and have a quiet time. However, it is good to have company as well. You have to even it out.

It is not a bad thing to miss home. If I didn’t miss home I would be worried. I have talked to my parents, siblings and friends. They have encouraged me to keep walking on the road I’m on and to do my best, take the opportunity that I have and enjoy being where I am, because time goes by fast. So I am going to put on my big girl pants and am going to keep walking.

Snowboarding at Keystone was great. They recently opened the large jump line. I love big jumps!! It is the closest I’ve come to flying. I only straight aired them, but when I go back I’m going to flaunt my spins. It was good getting air time on them.

Today was fun. I found a few people to ride with. A good majority of the people out here seem to be so serious with thier riding. It takes the fun out of it when you say “I have to do this” instead of “I get to do this”. I hope I can find more fun people to ride with, who are like the people at Sierra-At-Tahoe! It is alway better to ride with people who are stoked and encourage you to reach for those new tricks.

I always enjoy riding with a Betty Rides team member, Olya. It sounds like the rest of the team is going to be out here soon. I am looking forward to seeing everyone.

XOXO

The jumps at Breckenridge have been perfect for training on. It has been awesome! I have my spins back! There have been so many high performance athletes in the park. It is great to be around thier energy! It helps you progress.

I had the pleasure of having dinner with Maddie Bowman and Robby Franko. They are both skiers, but I still enjoying spending time with them. Each of us ride for Sierra-At-Tahoe and love it. There is no snow in Tahoe right now. So we are happy to be in Colorado making snowmen and snowballs. However, I am looking forward to riding at my home mountain, Sierra-At-Tahoe! I hope that the snow will follow Maddie back home. Then once I arrive it will be a white Christmas and Sierra-At-Tahoe will be making new memories.

I hope snow falls from the sky on Tahoe!

XOXO

We rode today. It was fun, but our toes were not enjoying it. This weather makes icicles out of thin air! Yes, it was about -3. Our toes told us to call it an early out day. So we drove back home and lit a fire. Our place is starting to smell better. Yesterday we left the house with the beans still cooking. We expected the beans to be cooked to perfection by the time we arrived back home. However, we arrived to smoke! We were so sad that the beans were beyond edible. We opened the windows and doors. I think it has finally aired out. The candles are lit and we are burning natural incense. The house is cozy and comfortable again. Good food is good for you, like beans and many other whole foods. We enjoyed beans this morning. Our diets play a big role in how we perform. We have been eating healthy and playing hard. I feel great.

The jumps where considered small, but perfect for learning on. My board is finally agreeing with me and I love my Betty Rides gear. I was so thrilled when I flew through the air. It is such a great feeling. That feeling is one of the reasons I am in love with snowboarding. It is also the pleasure you enjoy after accomplishing your goal. Your adrenaline starts running high and you become addicted to it. I suppose that I am an epinephrine junky. Another reason why I love snowboarding is having the snow, the mountains and all the splendor that God created around you. It is amazing! I like Colorado. It’s not Tahoe, but still beautiful.

Today was fully enjoyed. We got to snowboard and went to play at Woodward! I love Woodward. It is the best play ground. The trampolines will never grow old.
We arrived early in order to miss the crowd that would leak through the doors later in the day. It was nice having plenty of space to stretch and perform yoga positions. I followed Jamie’s lead. She is a great leader! It felt so good to stretch all the sore muscles running around my body. I believe stretching is very important. It is healthy for your body and will prevent small injuries that would have occurred if you were not stretching.

I am having a wonderful time in Colorado. It has been a pleasure to be with a new great friend who has the same amount of energy as me. I am thankful for her helping hand.

Good bye Copper Mt. and hello Breckenridge! Time goes by fast when you're having fun. The car was packed full! Jenna Dramise made my life easier and gave me a ride to Breckenridge. She is also happy she can crash with us tonight. God always makes things work out. He is good. Breckenridge is the cutest town. They are in the Christmas spirit and are shining bright with lights! I am thrilled to be here! Thank you Jamie! I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Jamie Anderson. I am thankful for her! XOXO

Photo shoots are hard work. It takes time and you have to get the shot.

We had a wonderful photographer. I do not remember his name, but I heard he is one of the best. We were grateful to have him.

It was fun. The USASA boys where flaunting it on the wall ride! My goal was to make it to the top of it like they were doing. I think I did. When they said it was time to wrap it up and get ready for the group life style shot I was sad. I wasn’t ready to stop snowboarding.

The life style scene was awesome! We had a snazzy couch in the woods. You can’t see it in the photo, because we are all on it.

My cheeks started to hurt towards the end of the shoot. And knowing that I was going to see Michelle Hendryx kept my cheeks high. I love her! She has been such a blessing and a joy to be around.

Time goes by fast! Everyone is heading home tomorrow. It was so cool meeting and seeing everyone. I am sure I will see them again.

My adventure continues over to Breckenridge. I am excited! I’ll try and post as many pictures as I can.

I love Woodward! This morning we stretched and played on the floor and tramps. It woke me up.

We went again tonight after the chair lifts closed. I wanted someone to play with, but everyone was tired. They made me feel like I had too much energy. So I searched for a buddy who wanted to play hard with me. I was so stoked to have the pleasure of meeting a Betty Rides team member, Olya Smeshlivaya. It is really cool meeting someone in real life that you had only known from online. We had fun.

The USASA Team is awesome. I am so thankful to be a part of this group. They have helped me progress and are a great support.

We will be shooting and filming tomorrow. Maybe I will be able to share some of the photos. Keep an eye out.
